POLICY OF COMPARING THE RESULTS OBTAINED BY DIFFERENT METHODS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF THE PROVIDER FOR PROFESSIONAL LEVEL VERIFICATION
The service provider (Provider) of the professional level assessment, LLC “CMLS”, in carrying out its activities, considers the main goal of the policy of comparing the results obtained by different methods to be ensuring the interests of all participants in the professional level assessment and processing all the results of participants using different methods. By implementing DSTU EN ISO/IEC 17043:2017, the Professionalism Testing Provider has defined its policy of comparing the results obtained by different methods, the main provisions of which are as follows
a) Participants shall preferably use the test method, calibration or measurement technique of their choice, which shall be consistent with their usual practices;
The Provider shall provide the participants with instructions on how to apply a particular method according to the design of the proficiency testing scheme.
The provider may instruct participants to use a specific method according to the design of the program.
b) The Provider shall accept results obtained by different test methods if they are expressed in the same units or if their conversion to the unit of measurement acceptable in the round does not introduce an error to the participant’s value that exceeds 1/10 of the error set by the participant for his/her result;
The Participant shall adjust its results before submitting them to the Provider if the test method it has chosen introduces a systematic deviation in the result that is due to the use of this particular method.
The participant shall provide the Provider with a summary of the method used, the specifics of the method and the method of calculating the uncertainty of the measurement result to determine the possibility of comparing the results of all participants in the round. If the participant does not provide the Provider with complete information on the test method used by him/her to recognize the methods as technically equivalent and the results as comparable to the results of other participants, the Provider may, on objective grounds, not include the results of this participant in the general report.
c) The results of all participants of the round, including those obtained by different test methods that are recognized as technically equivalent, shall be accepted and processed by the Provider by statistical calculation. Non-compliance of the participant’s results with the provisions of the policy and failure to recognize the participant’s method as technically equivalent shall be grounds for not including the participant’s results in the processing of the results of the round and in the general report.
The policy of comparing the results obtained by different test methods complies with the provisions of subsection 4.5 of DSTU EN ISO/IEC 17043:2017.
